In my interview conclusion with NEeMA, we discuss her experiences and role working with the native people in Wekweeti (Snare Lake), a small isolated Aboriginal community north of Yellowknife where she was the First Nation’s Band Manager until October 2001. She then continued working for the Dogrib Treaty 11 Council assisting in the Tlicho land claim and self-government negotiations.
She has now completed a live album entitled Leave the Light On, which will be released on April 8th 2014. It includes songs from Montreal (Canada), as well as Malmo (Sweden), Gent (Belgium), London (England), Dublin (Ireland), Oslo (Norway) and Lucca (Italy). She is also working on a new studio album to be completed later in 2014.
