Through the Musicaction Incubator Project initiative, the APCM wishes to highlight the roles of author, arranger and composer, as well as the use of MAO (computer-assisted music).
Within the framework of this incubator, two parallel components are organized: an artistic co-creation component for artists and a skills development component for the professionals supporting them.

The artistic component, from November 10 to 14, includes the participation of eight (8) artists, including four (4) French-Canadian and four (4) European. The group has a rehearsal space at its disposal where it can collectively experiment with sounds, work on collaborations, create and exchange know-how and musical influences*. All supervised by two (2) trainers/directors.
The professional component, from November 12 to 14, supports the mentors (managers, publishers, and event agents) of the artists in residence. The goal is to share skills in artist development and discuss the themes inherent to computer music in musical productions through the prism of their respective industries.
On Friday, November 14, a slot will be dedicated to the presentation of each artist’s original projects in front of professionals, in the form of 15-minute showcases.
The main objective of C’est dans l’air is to open new avenues of communication, collaboration, and professional touring for the artists and managers present, on both sides of the Atlantic. Participating in this type of activity, whether for artists in residence or for managers engaged in professional activities, undeniably creates affinities and natural connections based on each individual’s schedule.

* Please note that all recordings made during the artist residency are for private use, strictly limited to the duration of the C’est dans l’air project. No public or commercial use of the recordings made during the residency will be permitted.
** The conditions offered as part of the C’est dans l’air project apply to one (1) artist (or representative of a group), as well as to one (1) member of the artist’s professional entourage.
