Catherine Stamatakos battled Cancer for two years. On June 30th, 2025, she passed away in the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care. She was 54 years old.
On September 26th – there will be a concert to keep Catherine’s memory alive and to pass on a message to women which Catherine wanted to keep going; get tested early for Ovarian and Uterine cancer and do not let doctors ignore your symptoms. Be persistent.

One of Canada’s greatest comedians, Joey Elias, will emcee the event and the headliners are The Box.

Joey Elias

Joey Elias has an enormous amount of comedy experience having performed in at least 16 Just for Laughs Festivals, including four televised Gala performances. That’s not bad for someone who got into stand-up comedy after losing a pool hall bet.
That was 1992. Since then, Joey has performed for the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan, Rwanda, Haiti, and CFB Alert at the North Pole. He’s had a Canadian National TV special Comedy Now! He was also chosen by two of the three comedy lovers from the Montreal Gazette as the act they would like to see again after his last Just for Laughs Comedy Festival performance.
Joey has moved into acting including having roles in The Art of War, The Wool Cap and The Day After Tomorrow.
The Box

The Box is a Canadian pop rock band from Montreal, Quebec, whose style evolved from synth-based new wave pop on their early albums toward prog-influenced guitar rock later in their careers. Founded in 1981, they achieved commercial success in Canada, recording four charting albums and 10 charting singles between 1984 and 1990.

Ranee Lee is a jazz singer and musician. She is also an actor, author, educator and television host. Referred as “Montreal’s Queen of Jazz, Lee is a Juno Award winner, two-time Top Canadian Female Jazz Vocalist, honored with the International Association of Jazz Educators Awards and a member of The Order of Canada.
Taurey Butler

Taurey Butler, grew up listening to his father play drums with an R&B band, and at age seven began classical piano training. At 14 he was handed an Oscar Peterson recording by his perceptive bandleader; listening to Peterson opened Butler’s ears to what the piano could do. Moved and intrigued, he began digging into jazz harmony, melody, and solo improvisation. After graduating from Dartmouth—where he studied Japanese, majored in electrical engineering, and spent countless hours in the practice room—Butler returned to New Jersey to hone his craft. And after playing a jam session in New York, garnering attention for his dexterity and lyricism, he began booking gigs, eventually playing clubs and festivals around the world.
Karen Myatt

Karen Myatt After training at the Randolph Academy in Toronto and graduating from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, Myatt performed across North and South America.
In 2016, she produced and premiered “Ladies of Song” to sold-out audiences at Neptune Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Both 2017’s “Songs of the Silver Screen” and 2018’s “Blues Deluxe” were equally successful, earning rave reviews. Other highlights have included headlining the Halifax Jazz Festival and performing with Symphony Nova Scotia.
Jerry Mercer

Jerry Mercer is a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame as a member of April Wine. His long and storied career also includes stints with Trevor Payne and the Triangle, Mashmakhan and also played drums on Blues’ great Roy Buchanan‘s album.
Keith Ford

Keith Ford is an accomplished singer, guitarist and songwriter, who has honed his craft over the past five decades in venues all over Canada and the USA.
As a sought-after studio musician, he has appeared on a number of other artists’ recordings and has recently returned from Nashville where he worked with the cream of the Nashville session musicians, on the tracks for his upcoming album release.

Rachel Dara is one of Montreal’s brightest emerging stars. Her vocals are a gift from the heavens and a rare instrument in these days of auto -tune.
