Rick Keene Music Scene – Legendary Singer / Songwriter Garland Jeffreys Talks ‘Retirement’

Some people are just ground-breakers …

Garland Jeffreys is one of ‘those’ people. Following in the footsteps of his dear friend Lou Reed; Garland took chances when most shied away from controversy.

Adding poignant anti- racist lyrics to cutting edge music – Garland was not afraid to speak his mind. Folks such as Bruce Springsteen heralded Garland as a go-to man for inspiration.

Please listen below to my chat with Garland about his ‘retirement’, baseball and racism today among other things.

Please listen below to my chat with Gavin Harrison, one of three drummers within King Crimson. He talks about all of the above and why he thinks touring in a van may not be such a good idea for young bands.

Gavin? What’s up?
