Rick Keene Music Scene Presents

Good evening …

These are bagpipes. I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made sound never equaled the purity of the sound achieved by the pig.

Rick Keene Music Scene – Peter Frampton Press Conference at Montreal Jazz Festival

Songs and albums bring you back to a special time in your life and they become etched in stone.

Even if you were not a fan, in the late seventies, Peter Frampton was all over the radio. Do You Feel Like We Do was an anthem for Rock n Rollers. One of those tunes that musically and lyrically summed up the vibe during a concert, a party or the aftermath of both.

For eighteen months, Peter Frampton was the face of Rock and was atop the Pop star ladder. Posters of him adorned almost every teen girl’s bedroom wall and every teenage boy needed to be Peter Frampton.

Join Peter as part of The Montreal Jazz Festival July 5th and celebrate his Farewell Tour. Not often one has the chance to witness music history.

Stay tuned for more of Peter Frampton on

Rick Keene Music Scene – Get Off The Couch and See Some Shows! Won’t ya?

Don’t be left all alone at home.

There are always plenty of live shows in and around Montreal. Singers, songwriters and musicians who write their own music and scrape by because the cost of making their music accessible to the public – not very cheap.

Original artists need your help. Not cover bands who have full time jobs and play music as a hobby. Original artists who you can see live for the same cost as a cover band. Original artists are the future of music. Don’t live in the past.

Please listen below to some of the shows coming in and around Montreal in the near future.
