Meet Razia. Originally from Madagascar and a resident of New York City for the past twenty years. Razia – through voice and a blend of traditional Madagascar music and current sounds, is helping to bring attention to the problems in her native country. 

Please listen below as Razia explains some of those problems as well as an insight into some beautiful music which – for some reason, remains a mystery to North Americans.
